“Infinity on your wrist.
Perpetual possibilities.”

Pinion is delighted to announce the release of a new series of its sell-out AXIS watch. Based on the original military inspired 2013 release of three automatic watches, the new range called AXIS II presents an evolution of the company for 2016.

The original AXIS trio of watches were released when the company launched in November 2013, with headline model being a 42 mm bronze cased watch with distinctive green dial, making it was the first bronze watch to be built in England by a modern company.

The new AXIS II is presented in the same size and range of case materials as its predecessor; steel, bronze, and black DLC cases, however it incorporates a number of distinctive aesthetics that reference PINION’s own subsequent PURE and REVIVAL British watches most notably with a revised case design and dial finishes.

In a new move, all three models are now available in two specifications which allow customers to choose between an engraved and individually numbered solid steel back or an exhibition sapphire crystal case-back that displays a customised ‘hunter green’ PINION winding rotor and decorated automatic Swiss movement (ETA 2824-2).

The stepped ‘Superdome’ bezel, a popular feature of PINION’s acclaimed limited edition Revival 1969 chronograph watch now appears on the AXIS II. And, referencing its PURE hand-wound sibling, AXIS II features revised typography and a polished finish on the dial along with milled, polished and applied silver indexes that are filled with Super Luminova.

For the Axis II black, the DLC treatment is now applied on a brushed stainless steel case. For these automatic watches, the finishing along with the watch assembly, testing and handmade leather strap is undertaken in England.

“Where the previous AXIS models referenced mid 20th century
military style timepieces, in AXIS II you can see more of PINION’s own DNA and graphic language coming through. It’s become a more
refined piece with added detailing like the new dial finish and
applied indexes, but it’s lost nothing of its ruggedness and fitness for purpose as a watch you can easily wear everywhere, every day. ”
Piers Berry, founder of PINION.
